Really Good Intro to PIC32

If you already have pickit 3, a breadboard, and mplabx installed, then for just $3.50 you can experiment with the pic32mx220.

There is a very good tutorial at University Mass. Amherst that is written for total beginners. It steps you through everything.

http://umassamherstm5.org/tech-tutorial ... -tutorials

Next time you order some parts, throw in a DIP pic32mx220 and give it a try.

The tutorial is using C32, but you should not have trouble using the XC32.

The web pages for this tutorial from university mass. amherst are now missing. The students and profs are on vacation, so it probably won't be fixed until september.

There were other useful tutorials on that site, also. I hope somebody there remembers to fix it.

At a university the general rule for non-administrative web pages and sites is that they must only run on the worse possible servers on campus. :D That is why the servers with the important information are either down or responding so very slow.

When I worked in research at a university the new, most powerful PCs always went to the administrative personel. Which was ironic, because they were the people who were just typing forms and other lite weight tasks. Admin gets first crack at budget appropriations. Researchers get the table scraps. :x
