Another interesting thing on the Microchip Forum:
I wanted to modify my MC forum "avatar" but got the following screen:

MicrochipErrorAvatar.png
Not possible to add avatar
MicrochipErrorAvatar.png (21.33 KiB) Viewed 6961 times

Since other members do use avatars I can't understand why it is disabled...
And I AM logged in, otherwise I would not be able to reach the user control panel in the first place.

JPG,
but I did not even get to the file selection...
This dialog popped up as soon as I clicked the "Upload a file" link on the avatar update page.

What is the magic number? 1 or 2?

Probably somewhere in between!

Hello,

nice to see here a lot of well-known people from the microchip-forum and very good to see now an independent pic-forum. Big thanks to Richard for this!

Being off from the microchip-forum the last years, I have had a look back the last days and I was pretty disappointed:
- the link-collections "galleries" are not working any longer, clicking on a link only gives you a "the page cannot be found"; this way they are pretty useless...
- spammers are same active like always, only the access for the "normal" user is more uncomfortable now
- the layout is more confusing, I miss the good overlook (maybe I'm just too oldfashioned...)
- trying to edit an old post I've got only an "access denied"-window

Greetings from Germany,
Stefan

Oh boy!
Today when I got back home from a boating trip ( 29 C in air, 24 C in water! :D ), I decided to have a look at a MC thread I have gotten an email alert about.
Surprise!
The server has encountered an error
Now happens whatever I do against the MC forum.

And the strange thing is that my GreaseMonkey script that used to automatically reload until he error page disappeared does not do this anymore!
Somehow the MicroChip forum GreaseMonkey script has disappeared from FireFox!
Seems like when I created a new script for another forum I inadvertently overwrote the Microchip script. :(

I would be grateful if I could see the script again, so if someone has a link to a webpage that contains the script I would be happy to get it.
Obviously I cannot go to the Microchip discussion since MC decided to purge the thread containing the scripts.
And now with server errors it would not be possible anyway....

Can't view any page on MC forum, always:
The server has encountered an error

I give up.....
I will be lurking here but not at MC until such a time when it is obvious that it works again (post emails...).
