I can't access https://microchip.com or https://forum.microchip.com at the moment.
It's actually looking like a DNS lookup failure.
Their name server is ns1.microchip.com at 198.175.253.201
Is it just me, or everyone?

Seems ok again now.
n.b.
microchip.com becomes e2840.dsca.akamaiedge.net which resolves to 23.0.42.35 and ping works
ns1.microchip.com resolves to 198.175.253.201 but does not respond to ping
forum.microchip.com becomes ukb.edge2.salesforce.com which resolves to 161.71.146.9 and ping works.
