Maybe add an enhanced midrange forum? And merge some of the overlapping forums (like ADC and A/D converter).

And I always wanted to remove the word "programming" from the ICSP forum since that word is usually misinterpreted.

Both good ideas.
Also note, I have tried two different styles for the forum groups.
"[Development Tools]" just shows an abbreviated list of all the sub-forums, which does include highlighting of any with "new posts". You must open the forum to see all the sub forums in details.
"[Microcontroller Discussion Group]" shows all sub forums in detail on the home page.

Preferences there?

Since I'm usually just reading rather than posting new topics, I prefer the more concise view. But people who are posting new topics might prefer the longer format -- I think it might be easier to find something when you don't know what you're looking for.

I also think the "[Microcontroller Discussion Group]" should be broken up into two groups.

[Microcontroller Discussion Group] with "12-Bit Core", "14-Bit Core", through to "Errata and other issues"
and
[Peripherals] with "ADC & Comparators" through to "TSHARC", (although some of the intervening forums may need to shift into the Microcontroller group.)

I usually look at the "PIC24 Topics" sub-forum at Microchip, so I miss that....

Ahh my mistake. I didn't include the "[16 bit Microcontrollers & Digital Signal controllers] " and "[32-Bit Microcontrollers] " groups when I created the forums here.
I'll add them when I get home tonight.

How about adding section "Project Show Case" -- Where user can share their PIC based project?

I'd already been thinking along the same lines myself.
I have an interesting little project I did in 2011 for simultaneous timing of two cars in a car club event. :)
Watch this space.
