Forum Upgrade

Re: Forum Upgrade

Postby BobAGI » Fri Aug 22, 2014 4:06 pm

Seems like they have completely abandoned the user base support and killed (aka removed) the two threads "Forum Upgrade 2.0" and Forum upgrade 2.1"
Clicking a link in an email alert on activity on these threads just brings you to the forum welcome page.
No trace of these threads anymore.....

You can only few the welcome forum if you are logged in.
Possibly you are not when you click the link in the email ?

Although Cindy is doing her best to respond to our concerns, to the point we now have a new "Forum Support" subforum to address them in, there is almost certainly more pain for us this autumn.

I think she's stuck between a rock and a hard place.
All the things we are complaining about, she is being told will be fixed in the next release of ASP Playground.
We all know from bitter experience that every major step in forum software brings a new set of problems.
I really hope she can commit to setting up a Beta forum for us to test first, and hopefully weed out the more obvious problems before it becomes the main forum.

I can't post at all on the Microchip forum right now.
Quick Reply and the Full Editor are both dead, in both IE and Firefox. :(

Don't know why, but it came good after I shut down and restarted all my browsers.
Must have been some cache/cookie issue. but weird that it happened to both IE and Firefox at the same time.

Hi everybody!

I can't post on Microchip's forum... No editor field
Hope it will be fixed soon.

Just here to signal this, because it's not either possible to send PM.

Thanks ;)
