PIC18F documentation

Greetings,

This old dog needs to learn some new tricks.
I need to get up to speed on the PIC18F66K80, in particular its assembly language. I found the data sheet but I cannot find a reference manual.

I would also appreciate anything on programming, particularly assembly language tutorial, discussion, or examples.

Thanks,
John

You could start with the 18C reference manual. Although it is titled 18C, it covers 18F parts - the prime difference being the memory. Because it is quite an old document, it will not cover the more recent periferals.

Thanks!

I found that document and started using it as I figured it was the best I could do. I worked with PICs back in 2015 and I now recall what a mess their documents are. Seems most places have a tree so that if you find a document you can go back up the tree and find others. With Microchip it seems you just get an unrelated document number.

Thanks for the confirmation.

John

You could start at the product page for that PIC. https://www.microchip.com/en-us/product/PIC18F66K80
Click the "Documentation" link, and explore what is available with all the "Select option" dropdown settings.
