The thread titles, now prefaced by 'Powered by APG vNext Trial'-- Makes it more difficult to google search and manage browser tabs.

Ahhh yes, already complained about.
That seems to be something deliberate done by the "ASP Playground" authors when you are running the "Trial" version.
The MCHIP board has been bouncing between the Trial version and the "Commercial" version for a couple of months now.

I was getting the Trial version from work yesterday, and the Commercial version at home last night (different ISP).
I'm now getting the Trial version here at work again, so I'm not sure if it's the time or the ISP that is making the difference.
Plainly the board is running on a cluster of several servers, and they don't all have the same software installed.

Edit: Revise that. I was seeing "vNext Trial" half an hour ago. Now I'm seeing "vNext Commercial", through the same ISP.
For the record, the IP address right now is 198.175.253.160. It might change with server.

I've just seen something REALLY scary: http://www.microchip.com/forums/FindPost/815141
For those who can't be bothered to follow the link:
"The "Featured Articles" should be available only in the latest version vNext 5.1, which we haven't upgraded yet."
Looks like more upgrades on the way.....
Perhaps this time we'll have better access to CindyNY who can react to and fix the problems.

For the moment I don't have possibilities to send / post anything at all.
No difference for IE, FF, chrome - *if* the dialog opens at all, the message edit is not shown :-(

This morning I can Log in but not post anything in the Microchip Forums.
Same thing this afternoon.
I did not think I did anything to warrant this.
I got no notifications that any of my posts were down voted or complained about.
Quick reply provides no edit box.
Open full version also provides no edit box but does throw this java error:
TypeError: Cannot read property 'TextareaSelector' of undefined
(link munged so it would not become a link )
http:// www microchip.com/forums/combinedJs.axd?key=1757212980;2003007660;385346830;540312784;469935658;2115924700:684&host=www.microchip.com

I logged in with my second different IP address ( though from the same IP block ) and it made no difference.
I could not manage my account ( could not edit anything ).
I could reset my password but it did not help.
I created a test account with a different name/email it could not post either, same symptoms no edit box in which to type.

Did you try closing down all instances of your browser?
Sometimes swapping between IE, Chrome and Firefox can get you back it.
I've had that happen, and it seems to be some sort of cached information preventing javascript from running.

ric,
I closed down all instances of both chrome and ie, same response on both.
I blew away all microchip cookies, multiple times before and after my password change.
I logged in with my new password and also with google, same results.
I moved over to my chromebook and tried it there as well.
The same response, no where to type in any text.
Tomorrow I will email my inside developer contact at Microchip and ask her if she could maybe have a look at what is going on.

Update. The same has just happened to me.
I posted ok on the board from home 2 hours ago. Now I'm at work, I cannot post with any of those three browsers.
No wonder there's so few new posts today.

Maybe the server farm is in mid update.
Maybe I can find a proxy to log in somewhere else, looks like it will do no good to try from Australia.
I wonder if you were last to see the update?
