I have a project that I am porting over to a new PC and cannot find the tool pack that I need to install. To keep things simple I am working with an older MPLABX and XC8 and when I installed MPLABX 5.50 on my new PC it installed tool pack PIC16fF1Xxxxx_DFP 1.7.149, what I need is PIC16F1xxx_DFP 1.2.99. I have tried to install under the tools, and in the notifications section, but it wants me to download from the local drive and I do not have that pack on my PC. I have looked on the Microchip website but so far I have not found that version. Other than a new install is there a way to get that pack?

Go to the packs download page at https://packs.download.microchip.com/
If you click on the pack you're interested in (Microchip PIC16F1xxxx Series Device Support) it'll open a list of all the pack versions that you can download.
